Dear Families,
After recently completing a survey to canvas opinions we can confirm that this year’s summer trip will be to Longleat Safari Park. This option was the most popular of all the choices. The trip is planned for Friday, June 19th 2026.
Due to our fantastic ‘Friends of Gelli’ team and their autumn term fundraising we can once again confirm that one bus has already been paid for which will help us keep the cost of the trip to a minimum.
The current cost of the trip is :
- Children age 3-11 – £20 (all children age 3 whether in school or not are required to pay this amount).
- Adults (Year 7 +): £43
- Under 2’s will get free entry into the park but will need to pay for a seat on the bus £12
The trip is open to all immediate family members of children in Gelli Primary. Once school families have secured their places, we will then offer any spare seats to extended family and community members.
Pupils in PS1 & PS2 (Nursery – Year 3) will need to be accompanied by at least one adult. Pupils in PS3 (Year 4,5,& 6) can go with a family member or can go alone and be supervised by a member of staff.
A £12 non-refundable deposit per person will be required to secure your places. Deposits must be paid online. We are only accepting deposit payments between Monday 2nd March and Wednesday 18th March. We are unable to reserve seats without payment. All seats will be sold on a first come first served basis. Once the allocated amount of seats have been reserved we will then open a waiting list and notify any families.
All remaining balances are to be paid in full by Wednesday 20th May. This payment will also be made online and will be open from Monday 13th April.
We always try to keep costs to families to a minimum and it is not our aim to make any profit on this trip. If a profit is made, we will hold this in the private fund and it will be spent on the children in line with the private fund regulations.
